Based on SPI’s solitaire game ‘Wolfpack’ this game simulates the U boat war in the North Atlantic ocean during Feb-May 1943. The player takes control of the U boat fleet, positioning them so as to maxmise the chance of spotting, and then sinking parts of, Allied shipping convoys which the computer controls. This is a gamblers game - the more the U-boat fleet is spread out the greater the chance of spotting an Allied convoy - but the U-boats must be concentrated to cause the maximum damage to convoys once they have been spotted. |
